Financing of two Belgian MPs by the Azerbaijani government!

According to reports in the Belgian press, the revelations of bribery of members of the Council of Europe and the Belgian Parliament by the Azerbaijani government, including two Belgian MPs, constitute a “major blow” to the credibility of the Council of Europe and the Belgian Parliament.

According to the findings of the Strasbourg Council, the bribes were made in order to embellish Azerbaijan’s image with regard to human rights violations.

The finding proves that the Belgian MPs, Mr Goris and Mr Destex (pictured), committed serious errors by violating the Code of Conduct of the Parliamentary Assembly, the Belgian newspaper De Morgen reports.
